Big Bay Town Park

This family park is located six miles from the Ferry landing.

This award-winning 61-site campground and family park is one of the most impressive natural areas in not only the Apostle Islands, but the entire state of Wisconsin. Open year round, the park is owned and operated by the Town of La Pointe, and provides incredible views as well as the only access to the spectacular Big Bay Lagoon. Big Bay State Park

Big Bay State Park is located seven miles from the Ferry landing, this is a gorgeous family park. It features camping, picnicking, hiking along 9 trails in the park, fishing, swimming at two miles of sand beach, and interpretive programs. Big Bay State Park is a 60-site family campground with shower and an indoor group camp. There is an accessible beach boardwalk with a self-guided nature trail. Reservations are generally required, especially during July and August.

Please call the Town Hall at (715) 747-6913 for availability of the Rec Center building and shelter. This center is owned and operated by the Town of LaPointe.
The same form is used for rentals of the Picnic Shelter at Big Bay Town Park as well as the Shelter at Joni's Beach.

Joni's Beach
Located on Main Street just a few blocks from the ferry landing. Joni’s beach includes a sheltered picnic area, playground, a dock and beautiful sandy beach. Public Restrooms on-site. The Shelter can be reserved using the link above.
