The Public Works Director can be found at the Town Shop or at the Snow Removal Equipment building at 797 Airport Drive.

Office hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm, but the director and crew can be off in many different directions.

The Public Works Director is a supervisor for the Town Crew and the Parks Department. He plans and coordinates all work that he is responsible for preparing a budget for. The Town of LaPointe maintains a dock and harbor, Town Hall, Health Center, Library, Winter Transportation building and a system that has the crew out on Lake Superior assisting with a safe ice road, EMS and Firehall building, an airport, cemetery, Materials Recovery Facility, Rec Center with tennis courts and ball field, several public parks with many bathrooms and garbage collection. The Town Crew is made up of the director, foreman, road crew, general laborers, and a mechanic. As you can see, the work of our Town Crew is very diversified.
